About the Presenter

Grant Pfizenmaier is a graduate of Western Governors University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. He enjoys 3D printing, AR/VR technology, and 3D modeling. Before pursuing his degree, Grant held an internship at Olmsted Medical Center. Upon graduation, he joined Mayo Clinic working in the Techinical Services Unit as a contractor with AVI Systems supporting various departments, most notably the Division of Biomedical and Scientific Visualization (BMSV). In June 2024, Grant transitioned to a full-time position as a Technical Engineer for BMSV. where he is responsible for managing and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports the team. This includes overseeing the render farm maintenance, onboarding new applications, and providing technical support for various projects. Grant also collaborates closely with medical illustrators and animators to ensure the smooth operation of technical services and contributes to the development and implementation of new technologies to enhance the division's capabilities.
