AMI 2025 Awards Ceremony

• The Vesalius Trust provides grant funding to students enrolled in medical illustration programs and have completed one year of the curriculum. These competitive grants are awarded annually and are intended to help fund the student research projects and masters’ theses.
• The Inez Demonet Scholarship is an annual merit scholarship awarded to the applicant with highest academic and personal achievements in the field of visual communications in the health sciences.

The Literary Award is given to a member of the AMI who has contributed an outstanding article to the Journal of Biocommunication.

This year's Literary Award was presented to:

The recipients of Salon awards are selected by a panel of judges. The judges are professional members who have been appointed by the Exhibits Committee & Judging Taskforce.

• Award of Excellence: artwork meeting the highest standards of the profession.
• Award of Merit: artwork deserving special recognition of achievement.
• Social Impact Award: artwork deserving special recognition for its positive social impact.

The honor of Fellow is bestowed upon members in recognition of their exemplary participation and service to the AMI.

The recipient of this award is a professional AMI member whose actions or creations have had a significant positive impact on the profession of medical illustration and the AMI.

The purpose of the Lifetime Achievement Award is to acknowledge and honor a medical illustrator who has been a Professional AMI Member for at least 30 continuous years, and whose life, work and accomplishments have significantly contributed to the profession and fellow illustrators.
