Rick Cordaro
Disability Income Regional Vice President at Principal Financial
Rick joined Principal Life Insurance Company in December 1998 as the Disability Income Regional Vice President (DI RVP) covering the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Nebraska. Rick has more than 41 years of experience in the insurance industry, which began as an agent and then brokerage representative for The Paul Revere Insurance Group. After his career with Paul Revere, he accepted a position as the Disability Income Supervisor for The Guardian Life Insurance Company. Rick has taught the LUTC – DI course in Des Moines for over 25 years and is a frequent speaker for companies and associations around the Midwest. He has authored several articles and published a continuing education course on disability income insurance. Rick is a Past President of the International DI Society. He is a past president of the Des Moines Association of Life Underwriters and has served as a Trustee for the Iowa Association of Life Underwriters.

Patti Bell
AVP Advanced Solutions at Principal Financial Group
A native of Iowa, Patti graduated from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, with a BA in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU). She is also a current member of the American Institute of CPAs, Iowa Society of CPAs, and the local chapter of CLUs, as well as a past president of the Iowa Society of CPAs. Since joining Principal® in 1986, she has held a variety of positions in the tax reporting and business and advanced markets. Currently, she is a leader in Business and Advanced Solutions. She also provides presentations and technical support to financial professionals on business planning, executive benefits, and estate planning. She enjoys working with financial professionals on challenging cases and unique plan designs for business owners. She is also instrumental in developing marketing tools for technical reference on executive benefits, business succession, and estate planning.

Matt Roberts
Account Executive at Paylocity
Matt Roberts is an Account Executive with Paylocity who has over 5 years of industry experience. He is also a Presidents Club Qualifier. He lives in Central Iowa with his wife, Kelsey, and their three children. In his free time, he serves as an Iowa High School Basketball Official and as a Youth Coach for football, basketball, and baseball.
