Project Description
The SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, have had a huge toll on human lives and the economy worldwide. Understanding the biology of a virus is essential to controlling its spread. The purpose of this animation is to guide students through the process of viral infection and replication, providing the opportunity to apply biological concepts to a real-world scenario. A light and airy 3D watercolor rendering technique, along with stylistic treatment of the human characters was implemented to provide a more approachable scaffold for the complex content.
