Project Description
ABCG2-Q141K is a common type of transmembrane transporter variant. Many anticancer drugs are substrates of ABCG2 protein. Understanding why ABCG2-Q141k affects anticancer drug concentration in plasma may be the key to improving treatment performance in patients with genetic variants. This two-page spread aims to assist the biomedical professional audience in understanding the structure and trafficking defect of ABCG2-Q141K. The combination of 2D and 3D visualization with color-coding magnifies the clarity of information. The single nucleotide was modified in Swiss-Model by using the PDB file as a template to present an accurate structure of the variant.
