Development of the External Auditory Canal
Grayscale wash drawing was a hallmark of the Illinois program, as taught by Tom Jones. The progressive comparison of the changes in size and shape of the auditory meatus is beautifully depicted in Jean’s superb handling of the Jones style of halftone watercolor technique, and represents much original research on her part.
Jean McConnell graduated from the Illinois program in 1939, and was a Charter Member of the AMI.
