Jerry Hodge’s career spanned many decades, and his work fits well in all of them—he was a beloved teacher (he established and directed the program at the University of Michigan), a prolific illustrator, and very active in the Association, having served as President in 1964 – 65, and won numerous awards and accolades, including the AMI Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988. Jerry was very generous with his advice to students, and numerous successful illustrators cite Jerry Hodge as their inspiration.
