Edmond Alexander is an early adopter and teacher of digital media—and though this 1981 piece is in traditional airbrush on cel vinyl, it surely anticipates the digital revolution in design, color sense and vision. He has been deeply influenced by the art of Frank Armitage, and dared to dip into the Disney color palette for his striking compositions
Recruited to the Texas faculty by Bill Winn for his experience in videography, film graphics and animation, Edmond divided his time between art production and teaching, which he loved. After forming his own company, he married Cynthia Turner, and the pair have since operated a premier medical illustration partnership as Alexander & Turner.
