Carol Donner is a bright light in the AMI’s firmament, and she has inspired generations of illustrators through her remarkable art, and also through her generous presentations and demos for the membership at conferences She was the primary illustrator for Scientific American for many years. In the 1980’s she fought valiantly in Washington for artists’ rights, and served as AMI President in 1992. She received the AMI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
