Annie Campbell and Emily Holden started SciArtNOW with the goal of helping the medical illustration community grow. So many people are discovering this field for the first time and with that comes many recognizable challenges and questions as they embark on their journey towards becoming a professional medical illustrator. SciArtNOW is a platform that signposts these people to useful resources that can help inform them of their next steps. Through content marketing strategy techniques, Annie and Emily have streamlined their content creation and have built a platform that’s populated with tutorials, advice and tips for their audiences. Providing value to them is their main goal and in this lightning talk, Annie and Emily will share how they plan, organize, execute and distribute their ideas so that it reaches and helps their audience.
Annie is a medical illustrator and animator, who obtained her Master’s in Biomedical Visualization at the University of Chicago, at Illinois.
Emily Holden is also a medical illustrator and animator who obtained her Master’s in Medical Art at the University of Dundee.
Both Annie and Emily, run and manage a medical illustration studio Now Medical Studio and also an educational platform, SciArtNOW. Their passion is to be constantly learning about the industry that they work in and sharing what they know. They frequently publish useful tips and tutorials for their audiences via their social media channels, podcast and YouTube. Through doing this, they’ve built an engaged audience of passionate people who want to help our medical illustration community grow.
