Gene Wright –
Students are often placed in scenarios of critique. In Medical Illustration, critiques doesn’t necessarily equate to a real Life experience as we often have to discuss our objectives and present our solutions. In this presentation, I will describe how we have removed the standard critique and replaced it with a presentation of work that describes the process of a project from conception to completion where the student will demonstrate creative thimbnails, reference material, concept sketches, complete sketches, final output and detail images to fully explain and describe the process that resulted in the final illustration that can now be criticized.
