Project Description

The purpose of this poster is to inform the audience why a rainbow boa reflects iridescent colors. It introduces the rainbow boa, then employs simple, whimsical, and representational illustrations to introduce the scientific content. Due to the young audience, the poster  utilizes simple language to describe the scientific mechanisms. The imagery is also meant to be more playful and less daunting. This is achieved through the use of bright colors and simple lines. The major goal is that through this poster, children understand that three types of cells, with different functions, all work together to make this snake iridescent. This poster is the culmination of a semester-long 3D modeling class. The goal of this poster was to create a successful 3D model using modeling software, and combine that model with other 2D components to create a poster that employs the blending of the two styles in a visually pleasing and accurate manner.
