Project Description

This series is intended to describe a unique patient narrative involving an aortic valve-in-valve replacement. The target audience is generally familiar with the application of TAVR for the treatment of failed aortic bioprostheses, however this case provided specific challenges as a result of a previous surgical repair of the ascending aorta and root. The poster is displayed as part of an educational poster series in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery’s office gallery space. The illustrations are also used, in whole or part, in presentations and publications. The office gallery space is an educational venue for our current/potential residents and fellows as well as visiting and observing domestic and foreign surgeons. The actual poster is format is a larger size than is displayed here.
