Project Description
This piece is meant to show students how TTTS can occur, along with the clinical manifestations that are present in each twin. In TTTS, a shared placenta causes vessels to anastomose, and one twin will lose blood to the other. The illustration emphasizes that both twins are unhealthy and vitality decreases over time. This image will will be linked to multiple explanations in UWorld’s question bank related to TTTS and other pregnancy complications. Students should recognize keywords in the image and refer back to the question and explanation in which this image is used.
