Project Description

To engage visitors of the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering (EHE) and its 22 centers of research using visual outreach. EHE fosters unique collaborations, residing between the Johns Hopkins University’s Schools of Public Health and Engineering. The poster provides a visual overview of: (1) how our environment is affected by a variety of human activities and (2) research areas that are crucial to the health of populations and to the improvement of our environment. Emphasis is placed on 4 major areas of environmental focus that affect human health: air; food and soil; water; and the built environment and industry with special focus on Baltimore’s landscape. EHE facilitates multi-disciplinary studies that link earth science, public health, environmental health and engineering, and climate science with research projects all over the world. This poster (as a whole and in parts) will be displayed on the Johns Hopkins campuses within the EHE Centers and on its website.
