Project Description

This illustration depicts one of the later steps in a right upper lobe anterior segmentectomy, which is performed in cases of suspected lung cancer. The anterior segment containing the tumor is carefully removed, leaving the apical and posterior segments intact. Ensuring sufficient blood flow to remaining segments by preserving the supplying vessels is crucial to the success of the surgery. This illustration was created in Adobe Photoshop and designed in Adobe Illustrator.
