Project Description

Antibiotics vs. Bacteria is an explainer video for the public explaining the public health issue of antimicrobial resistance. The video was made in conjunction with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and is meant to educate the public, recommend what people can do about the issue, and introduce NIAID research to combat the problem. The video is shared via social media and encourages viewers to learn more at MedlinePlus.gov, a trusted source of health information. Explainer videos are beneficial for outreach because of their engagement and shareability, as well as their accessibility for the disabled and low-literacy groups. The video complies with Section 508 Accessibility Standards. This work is supported by the National Institutes of Health, National Library of Medicine.
