Project Description
This illustration calls attention to the issue of poor BP measurement proficiency among medical students and practicing physicians by depicting five behaviors that can lead to erroneous BP results. While editorial, it is also instructive by serving as a visual reminder of what not to do. Clockwise from center the behaviors include: an unsupported arm; an incorrectly sized cuff with the cuff placed over the patients’ shirt sleeve; a smart phone distracting the patient during measurement; the patient seated with his right leg crossed.
