Project Description

Courtroom exhibit created for use in a plaintiff personal injury insurance claim. The client in this case was a motorcyclist who collided with a car that pulled in front of him. Upon impact, Mr. Smith’s left foot was suddenly forced upwards and outwards. Resultant traction on the posterior tibial tendon damaged it and caused an avulsion fracture fragment to pull off the navicular bone. This panel served as key demonstrative evidence to link the medical and biomechanical issues, including visually translating the hard to see pathology barely evident on x-rays, thereby allowing the jury to better appreciate the critical medical issue that led to surgeries, deterioration and altered mobility.
