Project Description

The purpose of this illustration was to recreate an image to show the 19-year old plaintiff’s integumentary system before and after injuries sustained over 75% of her body when her vehicle burst into flames after being rear-ended. She was able to self-extricate from the vehicle and continues to undergo medical surgeries to this day. This is simply the first panel of several that were created for the entire project, which goes on to list the numerous surgeries needed for her recovery. The pencil sketch was designed to corroborate the ER admitting, discharge, and various operative reports, as well as the photos taken of the plaintiff before the accident and during and after each surgery.  The final color exhibit resulted in a substantial settlement in favor of the plaintiff.
