Project Description

To aid clinicians in understanding the anatomy of the auditory system and the diseases affecting each component, with the goal of improving quality of patient care and being better able to refer patients to appropriate specialists. The illustration utilizes color coding on a neutral-toned cross-sectional diagram of the auditory system. This helps to quickly delineate organs affected by disorders causing conductive hearing loss (yellow) from organs affected by sensorineural hearing loss (blue). Colors were carefully chosen to accommodate both color-sighted and color-blind viewers.
