Project Description
The primary goal for this illustration is to educate medical and pre-medical students on the differences between common finger injures to normal anatomy. The challenge was to present similar information in a clear, concise way that allows for quick and effective comparison between the anatomy of a normal to injured finger. This illustration compares normal bone formation and tendon positions to the injured conditions, consistently utilizing recognizable reference points. It specifically indicates to the viewer where the main identifier of each injury occurs. The illustration uses both detailed and graphic imagery in addition to supporting text to communicate the underlying basis of the injury in multiple ways.
