Dr. Levent Efe, CMI
Medical illustration has become Levent’s chosen specialty after medical school and Post-doctoral fellowship at Hopkins. He has since been freelancing in the Australian and international market. He and his two staff are working from their respective home offices, constantly sending each other files, and trying to not get anything lost in translation.
Along these years, it is not only artistic techniques and media that has changed. More significantly, the way visual art is interpreted has evolved. Expectations from all visual narratives are higher, the massages to be conveyed are more sophisticated, and attention spans are getting ever shorter. Added to all that are the complexities of working for clients in different countries with different jurisdictions and ways of expression.
Nevertheless, there has never been a better time to be offering medical illustration services in the international market.
