In this presentation three members of the Visible Body team discuss 5 best practices they’ve learned from over ten years of creating medical reference apps loaded with animations, 3D models, and illustrations. As an example, they’ll walk through how they jumped on the Augmented Reality trend, and went from idea to finished product in 2 months.

Bert Oppenheim is the Vice President, Creative Services at Visible Body and oversees all aspects of the visual content included in the anatomy based educational apps that Visible Body creates. He manages a team of graphic designers, illustrators, animators and videographers.

Lori Levans

Lori Levans is Editorial Director at Visible Body and is responsible for product development and editorial management. She is the product owner of the Visible Body Courseware platform, which allows educational institutions to assign Visible Body content and create custom quizzes for students, all of which feeds into a gradebook. She also manages the Anatomy & Physiology app, which provides a step-by-step introduction to each human body system for the Higher Ed market. She graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a BS in journalism.

 

Christopher Scalici

Christopher Scalici

Chris is the Director of 3D Content and Usability. He is responsible for designing the way our apps function, adding new features, building and updating the 3D models including their integration with our apps, and is the product owner of our flagship app “Human Anatomy Atlas”. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a BA in Medical Illustration in 2001.
